Process Media Modes
The science of bio-purification is one of the fastest growing technologies in the world. The high number of biologics in development or clinical trials and the increased use of already approved biopharmaceuticals have triggered the demand for highly efficient purification technologies. A purification scheme typically includes two or more chromatographic separation steps. Ion Exchange, Mixed Mode, Hydrophobic Interaction, Affinity, and Size Exclusion Chromatography are the common modes applied in bio-purification because of their non-denaturing characteristics.
At Tosoh, we engineer: particle size, pore size, surface area, ligand chemistry, and innovation. TOYOPEARL® and TSKgel® media are applied in numerous industrial scale processes and mentioned in more than 700 scientific publications. From the research laboratory to full scale manufacturing, we offer the same polymer chemistries in our TSKgel® and TOYOPEARL® products. Whether you are scaling up from a TSKgel® column HPLC method to TOYOPEARL® or TSKgel® for manufacturing, or are scaling down from large scale purification to the corresponding TSKgel® column for the QC of your target, we make it easy to develop methods to do both.
Tosoh Bioscience currently has process chromatography media available in five modes to suit all of your purification needs:
