8 nm Monomeric RP Silica Columns
For analysis of small molecules, the 8 nm pore size, 5 micron particle size TSKgel® 80Tm and 80Ts columns are offered in 4 different chemistries to suit a variety of needs. Combined with monomeric bonding chemistry, these TSKgel reveresed phase columns have an established reputation as general purpose columns for pharmaceutical applications.
The monomeric materials are delineated by the following nomenclature:
- Bonded phase pore size is indicated by the number in the product description, for instance, TSKgel® ODS-80Ts has 8.0 nm nominal pore size. The pore size of the base silica is 10 nm
- T indicates endcapping with TMS groups
- M, as in TSKgel 80Tm, denotes a monolayer coverage of C18 groups
- S, as in TSKgel 80Ts, denotes that endcapping is complete
TSKgel® ODS-80Tm is a general purpose column for the analysis of low molar mass pharmaceuticals, basic compounds, nucleosides, nucleotides, purines, and pyrimidines.
The TSKgel® ODS-80Ts columns are useful for molecules in the 100 - 6,000 Da range, so small peptides and pharmaceuticals can be separated on this column.
TSKgel® ODS-80Ts QA columns were developed specifically for use by QA/QC departments that require highly reproducible separations. These columns are prepared from the same endcapped C18 packing material as the TSKgel ODS-80Ts columns, but with narrower manufacturing specifications to meet the demand for high reproducibility.
TSKgel® Octyl-80Ts columns are recommended for molecules under 6,000 Da, such as amino acids, pharmaceuticals, nucleotides, and food and beverage components.
TSKgel® CN-80Ts is useful for the analysis for the anlysis of polar peptides, amino acids, and other pharmaceutical and food and beverage products.
